Body: Olive Chenille
Wing: Deer Hair or Elk
Hackle: Badger Saddle
Legs: Grizzly Round Rubber Legs

This bug tied by Todd White is just the ticket from now through the end of August.  Morning or evening near structure can produce some very large fish while it’s still light out.  If you feel adventurous you can add a dropper off the back as well.  Tie it win Olive, Black, Tan and Yellow.

Don’t give up yet! There are still bugs on the Au Sable and the Manistee River. Here’s a nice fish taken on the Au Sable last night. Bugs are a bit patchy throughout the state but, BIG fish are still looking up! We’ll probably have Hex through next weekend.
