Went czech nymphing on the White River today…who says you can’t catch fish in the middle of the day?…not me! And the count was…20 browns to the net sized from 9″-14″, 1 steelhead smolt getting ready to head for the big lake, 3 fish I just plain farmed, and about 3 dozen common shiners…not bad for covering a 200 yard stretch of river from 10am-2pm. If you’ve never shortlined nymphed before you need to give it a try…good nymph fishermen are the yodas of the sport…join the club!
