March Madness Fly Tying Contest
Ok, I think the term "long winter" may be an understatment, for the most part I would say everyones spring/summer boxes are well stocked since fishing has been slow most of Jan and Feb and people are running out of patterns to tie, so we thought it would be cool to have a March Madness Fly Tying Contest to inspire people to keep tying. Here is how its going to work:
Submit by mail as many different patterns as you would like along with the recipe. If your fly is selected we will take a picture of it and post it on our blog. Each fly yours that gets posted on the blog will entitle you to one entry in a drawing for a $50 Nomad Angler gift card at the end of the month. There is no limit to the amount of flies you can enter, but ill be honest no one really wants to see a parachute adams or an olive wooly bugger. So get creative and send your flies to 5100 Marsh Road Okemos MI 48864.

Senyos Laser Dubbing

We've added a few new colors for 2011. Laser dubbing is very versatile for Streamer patterns for Steelhead, Trout and Smallmouth. Tie the material in in clumps and use wire brush to create and blend some awesome heads for streamers.

The Fish Skull is a weight head for creating bait fish like profiles on Streamer flies. Available in an assortment of colors and sizes it's a quick add to many streamers to give them a kick ass look. I havn't had a chance to fish them yet but it sure makes some of your streamers look sexy. Comes with the head and enough 3-D eyes to fill them. $5.99 LINK
