Grand River Smallies

After months of spring/early summer rain the Grand River is finally looking good and starting to produce some great warm water fishing. With water levels above average but by no means too high sub surface action for smallies has been picking up rapidly. I have been doing well over the last two weeks fishing sinking lines with white streamers with plenty of flash. Tequeelies and crayfish imitations have also been producing during the day. Towards dusk fish are starting to key in on the abundance of white flies that have been consistently hatching and there has been a tremendous amount of top water action.
