Fall is on the horizon. Shorter days and crisp mornings have returned, at least for now. The cooler overnight temps have been great for trout fishing.  Shop staffer Drew got out for an early morning of Euro Nymphing and found a few nice players. This is finally the time of the year we all have been waiting for, sunny warm days cooler nights! Bugs are hatching, trout are rising, bass are eating poppers life is good! Well I have good news and bad news… Bad news first, spring tricked us again into thinking we were headed strait into early summer full of dry flies and smallmouth bass. Good news is the cold spell looks as if it’s going away by Monday, with temperatures heading back up to 50-60 degrees (aka) normal spring temps! Now the question is where does that leave the dry fly fishing as of right now? Once again it’s that time of the year when we say goodbye to the steelhead that filled our rivers since October! It has been a great season by all accounts.
