Although it may feel like winter has returned this week, it seems like its grip is loosening. More water, new fish. It doesn't seem very February to me outside, but we will take what mother nature gives us. Rivers across the state got a bump in flows with the rain last week. The Rogue River is currently sitting at 500 cfs and falling. The Grand River is quite high at around 6500 cfs. This bump in water should bring up our first wave of spring fish. It's that time of the year again, the Salmon are back and are in full swing of things. Rivers across the state are filled with Kings and Cohos on their yearly trip to spawn.
