Warm days are back and the bugs are here to stay! Dry fly season has gotten off to a good start with a good number of bugs showing up and some bigger trout working those bugs, its been a lot of fun. Hendricksons are winding down up north, but brown bugs and sulfurs are next up on the menu. Similar story downstate on the west side. Bugs bugs bugs! Hennies are falling, fish are eating, there’s not much else to say besides go fishing it’s dry fly season! We have had good warm up in temps which is helping us so much with bugs right now. Well I have good news and bad news… Bad news first, spring tricked us again into thinking we were headed strait into early summer full of dry flies and smallmouth bass. Good news is the cold spell looks as if it’s going away by Monday, with temperatures heading back up to 50-60 degrees (aka) normal spring temps!
