This little fly has been a menace to the trout and steelhead lately. It's a great pattern to hide a ton of weight within, getting it to the bottom very quickly. We typically use this on a euro nymphing setup, but you can also fish it under an indicator as well. It's a simple fly, that you won't feel bad losing to the wood. It can be tied in tons of different colors and sizes. This is an easy euro jig fly that can be used for trout or steelhead. Adjust sizes accordingly. For trout, a sz 12 or 14 is good. Go larger for steelhead, like a sz 6 or 4. This one is on a sz 6.
