Our East Lansing fly fishing shop is located at 2850 East Grand River Ave East Lansing, MI 48823 next to Coral Gables Restaurant just east of campus. 517-349-6696. We have been outfitting anglers with fly fishing gear since 1989 in our Mid-Michigan location.

Brian Bielecki
Brian grew up in Grand Rapids Michigan where his love of fly fishing grew on the Rogue River in Rockford. During his freshman year at Michigan State University he aquired job at the local fly shop and hasn't left since. His fishing experience has brought him around the world to destinations far and near. Brian has owned Nomad Anglers since 2006 and has a wife and 3 boys at home.

Cole Hazeltine

Cole has been fly fishing since he was knee high to a grasshopper. His father introduced him to the sport when he was just 6 years old and he hasn’t been able to put the rod down since. Cole grew up fishing Northern Michigan’s blue ribbon trout streams and as he got older, he began to expand his interest. Fishing for largemouth and bowfin throughout high school, he decided to pursue his passion with a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife from MSU, class of 2020. Cole has since fished in Colorado, Florida and the Dominican Republic.

Rick Lewandowski

Rick arrived at Nomad Anglers and East Lansing by way of Detroit, after retiring from a career in the auto industry in 2014. He began fly-fishing in 1965 (at age 13) with an outfit purchased from a Sears Roebuck catalog, and, to this day, is still perfecting his craft. Having spent time on most river systems both north and south of the Bridge, Rick has also had the opportunity to fish Ontario, Colorado and Germany.

Settling into the Lansing area, Rick is learning to enjoy the Grand, and has become involved with the Red Cedars Fly Fishers. A former board member of the Paul H Young Chapter of TU, the old man of the shop serves our customers with warmth, wisdom, and hearing aids.
