About Brace Lake Outfitters
Brace Lake is located on the Albany watershed and is just under a 50-mile flight out of Nakina. Brace is a tea stained colored water (Walleye Wine), which boasts a large population of Monster Pike, Walleye, and Perch. This is not a lake where you might catch a trophy northern. It's a lake where you will catch a Trophy Northern. Each season, guests at Brace Lake have landed-&-released upwards of 200 Northerns over 40 inches. Over the past several years almost every guest has caught at least one Northern over 40 inches with many Monster Northern Pike up to 50 inches.

What To Expect
FISHING: Brace Lake, and neighboring Meta and Ara lakes are full of trophy Northern Pike that are eager to take a fly. Boats will be provided for partners of two anglers. The Brace Lake, Meta Lake and Ara Lake system is a large body of water, maps of the lake will be provided, and Justin will spend a half a day with each group of anglers to help them break it down and find fish.
While the focus of this trip will be targeting large Northern Pike on the fly, anglers are not bound to fly fishing on this trip. Brace Lake offers fantastic walleye and perch opportunities as well, and anglers are welcome to target any species they desire using fly rods or conventional tackle.
LODGING: Brace Lake's vertical log cabins are fully equipped with 24-hour electricity, wifi, a three piece bathroom, indoor hot shower, toilet, bed linens, blankets, pillows, towels, electric fridge, propane cook stove and the entire cutlery for the kitchen. Cabins have all the amenities of home; they sleep 6 comfortably and provide a spectacular view of the lake.
FOOD: Meals at Brace Lake are included in the cost of the trip. Breakfast and sack lunch will be provided each day. In the evenings Lodge owners Kyle and Teri prepare five-star plated meals that you will not forget. Some of the best dining of your life while you are in the middle of nowhere, you wont want to leave.
TRAVEL: Nakina Ontario is approximately 700 miles north of Grand Rapids Michigan. We will travel north as a group from Grand Rapids on Sunday morning, and depart Nakina airport in a small float plane for Brace Lake late Sunday afternoon. After five full days of fishing at Brace Lake, we will depart Saturday morning and return to Grand Rapids Saturday evening.
