Silver Shiners are a favorite food of Smallmouth Bass. The minnow at the start of this video was coughed up by a smallmouth, so naturally, we came up with this little minnow imitation. It's easy to tie, and best fished with 6 or 7wt fly rod. The barring on top is optional. Black sharpie works just fine.
