Polish Woven Nymph (Video)

Orange Crush

Steelhead love orange. Not sure why, but it's a fact of life. This little pattern has been dynamite for us in the Spring. This is a hybrid of an egg and a stonefly, mimicking both at once. A stimulator of sorts. Its a really easy recipe so you won't feel bad losing a few.

Klinkhammer Scud
This is a fairly easy scud pattern for winter trout fishing. Trout eat lots of scuds throughout the year, especially on tailwaters like the Muskegon and Manistee. Kileys Scud Skins give this fly a very convincing profile, as well as making it more durable. Here's a step by step to tie this killer bug.

Cross-Dresser Variant
This template was originally made by Jeff "Bear" Andrews, and has been a standard Great Lakes steelhead fly for decades. This can imitate both a hex nymph or salmon alevin, hence the name "cross-dresser."

Supinski's Steelhead Soft Hackle
This is an extremely easy and deadly steelhead nymph that works all year. It's a great fly if you're looking to fill a box quickly.
