Its been another week of solid fishing reports from across the state. As day time highs have been creeping up a bit, the overnight lows have been reasonable, and we have gotten some rain here and there. This has made for happy fish and good fishing. Nymph bite has been good during the mornings and evenings for trout. Euro nymphs in standard variations have been producing well. Don't be afraid to downsize a bit when things get slow, you might just surprise yourself...Terrestrial fishing is starting to take off as well. Dry dropper is always a good option to cover...

Warm weather has returned, and so have the Bugs. After things were put on hold a bit last week with the cold weather, we are back on track with this weeks warmer temps. Hex are going strong on rivers across the state. If you plan to head out this weekend to get in on the action make sure you are stocked up on heavy leaders and big bugs. Blind fishing Isos has been great lately as well, especially in last weeks cooler weather. But don't overlook this bug as you wait for the big ones in the evening. For all you Bass...

Summer Bugs are here, over the weekend the brown drakes showed up in full force. A group of the Nomad Anglers crew sent it up north to chase the falling brown drakes with some success. These are a great option to blind fish in the early evening before the bigger bugs fall. Swing by the shop to load up on big flies...

Good news is the cold spell looks as if it’s going away by Monday, with temperatures heading back up to 50-60 degrees (aka) normal spring temps! Now the question is where does that leave the dry fly fishing as of right now? Well, we are hearing reports from our friends around the Au Sable area there were a couple of hennies out and about but no fish keying into them...

Happy Monday everyone, we hope you had a fun and safe trout opener this weekend. Heading head first into this week and weekend, there should be some really productive fishing happening in the next couple weeks, from the looks of it the weather is going to be really nice to us next week with temps reaching highs close to 80 degrees. With all that warm weather coming the trout should be on the hunt due to the river temps that could possibly reach close to 60 degrees across the state. With that for all the Dry Fly guys and gals...
