July 26, 2018 - Finally Rain
Trout fishing has improved with the rain and cooler overnight lows. Nymphing and hopper fishing is productive for trout around the state. Rubberleg buggers, baitfish patterns, and frogs are producing well for Smallmouth.
July 10, 2018 - Heat Wave
High temperatures are creating stressful conditions for Trout. Bass fishing has been great as local rivers take shape. Streamer bite is good in the morning, top water action has been good in the evenings.
July 3, 2018 - Shifting Gears
The Hex hatch is coming to a close, and water temperatures are warm across the state. Bass fishing is improving, and once we get some cooler weather, terrestrial fishing, nymphing, and mousing will be the name of the game for trout.
June 26, 2018 - Hex Continues
Hex fishing in Northern Michigan continues to be great and the forecast for the week going into the weekend looks promising. Local trout streams are fishing well with attractors and nymphs, terrestrials are just around the corner and bass fishing continues to be good.
