September 27, 2018 - River Report
Fishing continues to be great, both locally and up north. Lots of Kings, Coho, and trout have been caught lately. There are some steelhead showing up, but the main fall run is still a couple weeks out.
We are currently at "peak" salmon fishing. There is probably another push of Kings inbound, but it's safe to say the majority of them are in the rivers and spawning. Meanwhile, the trout fishing has been incredible.
Streamer bite has been good too. Small flashy flies on bright days have been productive.
There have been a few reports of steelhead caught on the swing already. Another heavy rain and an east wind will improve things drastically.
This weekend should be fantastic. Both shops are fully stocked with Fall tackle, gear, and apparel. Stop in, get the low down, and hit the water. As always, thanks for the support at the shop. #flyshopstrong
