Well happy Tuesday everyone, I hope everyone had a safe and happy fourth of July. With it now being almost the middle July we say goodbye to our big bug season of hatches, but don't be sad we now move into some fun mid day dry fly fishing... the famous terrestrial season is hot and heavy. So grab those hoppers and stimulators, head to the river find some thick nasty log jams and start casting! With the mid days being so bright from the sun those fish are tucked into the nasty thick jams and over hanging trees to give...

Wow when did Michigan become so hot... With this huge heat wave and little to no rain the fishing has become tough but not impossible. Steelhead are right in the peak of their spring migration so now is the time to get out and try your shot with some of the best fighting fish Michigan has to offer. As the days go on and we head into the warmer days of April, the fishing will really start...
The End of Winter?
The signs of spring are all around and it seems like the end of winter is finally in sight. This weekend will hopefully be the last bout of cold before warmer weather graces our future. As water temperatures begin to creep up next week expect the fishing to heat up too. Lots of good fishing reports from the last week are coming in from across the state. Fresh steelhead are showing up and indicator fishing has been a great producer. Trout fishing has also been pretty good. Euro nymphing continues to be the most productive method for targeting early season trout. ...
