First off, we want to thank everyone who has continued to support us during this very difficult time, we are so thankful for our loyal customers who continue to shop local even in the face of a global pandemic. First off, we hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this chaotic time. It's a very unnerving situation, with so much uncertainty ahead of us. We wish you all the best going forward, and hope everything returns to normalcy soon.  We've been getting out a fair amount, and the fishing has been good. We're going to keep it brief this time. Trout have been great. Steelhead have been fun, but certainly dwindling. Nymphing has been the best, streamers have been fantastic. Swinging for steelhead also good. Warmwater bite is turning on. Dry flies are going strong. Lots of options...

Trout and Steel have been great lately, and the weather has been very cooperative. No huge rain storms recently have allowed the water to reside, and stabilize nicely. We actually got a good amount of melt last week, and some of the water temps really dropped because of it. Still, fishing has been good, with plenty of solid outings. Steelhead are on the move, and are starting to fan gravel in areas, which is very early. If the weather stays the same, we could see a very early arrival of the Spring fish, which are just starting to show up....

Happy New Year! Thanks for all the support last year!  Fishing has been pretty good lately, up until we got absolutely blasted with rain a few nights ago. Grand Rapids received over 2.5 inches of rain very quickly. Most of the rivers in West Michigan right now are still quite high from that storm system, but are receding and should be in better shape soon.  Looks like the month of January is going to be warmer than average. Always nice having a mild winter, since it makes steelhead fishing so much easier. Hopefully we don't have a repeat of last...
