Grand River Fishing Report, Pere Marquette River Fishing Report, Rogue River Fishing Report -

March 9th 2023

Another week of relatively mild weather has brought us another step closer to spring. Fishing has been steady and improving after the high water last week. Although there are some cooler temps in the forecast, expect good fishing to continue through the weekend and into next week.

There are a good mix of winter hold over fish and bright steelhead in the system. As expected, high water last week brought some fresh fish up river and shuffled the cards a bit.

The Grand River remains quite high and dirty, though it has dropped since last week. The Rogue River has dropped from 700cfs to around 400cfs which is about average for this time of year.

Trout bite remains solid as well. Eggs are on the menu.

This weekend our GR shop will look a little barren as we have packed things up and brought them down to the Ultimate Sport Show at Devos Place. Come down and visit us this weekend and take advantage of some show specials!

That being said, just a reminder that our Grand Rapids hours have changed and we are once again open on Sundays! So if you need some flies before you hit the river, or a restock on materials for that weekend project we have got you covered. Shop hours in Grand Rapids are now: Monday-Friday 10-6, Saturday 10-4, and Sunday 10-2.

Next week is our final Brews and Bugs of the season. We are going out in style with Lance Nelson and John Sheets spinning up some of their favorite Au Sable River dry flies. This season finale of Brews and Bugs will be held at Third Nature Brewing. Cost is $25, bring your own vise, tools, and thread, and RSVP below to save your seat.

Good luck to everyone getting out this weekend. Or if you are staying in, think about coming down to see us at the show! We would love to see you there.
