Its been another week of solid fishing reports from across the state. As day time highs have been creeping up a bit, the overnight lows have been reasonable, and we have gotten some rain here and there. This has made for happy fish and good fishing.
Nymph bite has been good during the mornings and evenings for trout. Euro nymphs in standard variations have been producing well. Don't be afraid to downsize a bit when things get slow, you might just surprise yourself...Terrestrial fishing is starting to take off as well. Dry dropper is always a good option to cover both bases.
'Mousin' aficionado Robby tells me that this weekend is the time to get out and mouse as water conditions are prime and the moon will be setting around the same time as the sun. Next weekend the moon won't set until after midnight. So get out there and take advantage of the darkness while you can. Here is some inspiration:
Bass fishing has been consistent around town as well. Poppers and top water bugs have been producing, and numbers have been high. Weather looks perfect this weekend, get out there and rip some lips.
