March 16th
Good afternoon everyone, just doing a quick little check in fishing report!
Steelhead fishing has been steady throughout the state, for the most part the fish being caught have been there a while, not a ton of new fish showing up yet but that should change this weekend. With heavy rains forecasted for tonight and tomorrow there's going to be a huge push of steelhead from the lakes up into the rivers. So if you plan on fishing this weekend it should be very good, so get out there!!!
The Grand River is running at 6,500 cfs right now, which is going to change after friday so be careful if wading out there. The Rogue is at 300 cfs right now, which is a great wadeable cfs to be out there!
Trout bite is been warming up quite nice in the last week. With some steelhead spitting some eggs out the trout have been back on their egg grind. So if you are heading out to trout fish make sure you have a egg or two!
Good Luck this weekend -
