As you probably know by now, our salmon season was fantastic this year. Lots of huge fish were caught, many more were lost. It's no secret, the Kings are running strong. They are basically everywhere at this point. With the recent rains, more fish have arrived locally, as well as up north. However, most of the fish are inland and spawning. They are quite large this year, with several fish in the upper 20 pound range landed. Salmon are here! The high water brought in a wave of fresh Kings, Coho, and a few Steelhead. The sixth street dam is loaded with fish, as well as anglers. They are moving upstream at a steady pace. It sounds crazy after all that flooding two weeks ago, but we could actually use another shot of rain. But regardless of that, fishing has been awesome. September is truly an incredible time to be an angler in Michigan.  Northern rivers have plenty of fish, and they are just starting to spawn. Looks like it will be a great season with lots...

Although it's not officially gone, this Summer was overall pretty awesome. Trout were great before the dry spell, and smallmouth carried us through the rest. Now we are prepping for Autumn, and all it's splendor. Crisp mornings, vibrant colors, and leaping chrome.  Sounds like there are some King Salmon at 6th Street, as well as a few Steelhead.
